Full-Time Junior Accountant

About Us

We are a public accounting firm in Orangeville Ontario, that provide exceptional service to our clients due to the quality, dedication, and care of our team members. Position Summary    

Full-time Junior Staff Accountant who will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and accounting services to our clients on and off-site. Candidates must be adaptable to the multiple demands of the position and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Our clients include businesses of various sizes and industries in which the successful candidate will have wide exposure to.


Major components to the roll will include:

  • Experience with performing reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Preparation of T1 and T2 tax returns.
  • Responsible for preparing Compilation Engagement files.
  • Preparation of regular external compliance filings such as HST, WSIB, EHT and Source Deductions.
  • Completion of routine account analysis and bookkeeping assignments following established procedures.
  • Responding to queries and correcting errors identified on personal tax returns.
  • Effective communication with clients, with government agencies and with all team members.  


Successful candidate will have the following qualities:

  • A positive and professional communicator with clients and staff. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
  • High attention to detail including strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in deadline-driven work setting and can deal with confidential information


Required education and or experience includes:

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of bookkeeping/ accounting experience
  • Completion or in pursuit of a post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business and or in pursuit of CPA designation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Outlook, Excel, Adobe and Word)
  • Excellent communicaton, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
  • Experience using QuickBooks on-line and desktop, Xero, CaseWare and Tax Cycle is considered an asset

Junior Bookkeeper/ Administrative Assistant

Position Summary    

Full-time Junior Staff Accountant who will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and accounting services to our clients on and off-site. Our clients include businesses of various sizes and industries in which the successful candidate will have wide exposure to.

  •  Data entry into Tax, Bookkeeping and Microsoft software
  • Assist with the preparation of personal income tax returns
  • General administrative duties, including reception, scanning and document processing
  • Client and government correspondence via mail and email
  • Provide other clerical support as requested


Successful candidate will have the following qualities:

  • A positive and professional communicator with clients and staff.
  • Ability to grow with experience and exposure to the industry
  • Ability to use; and excel with new technology
  • Maintain punctuality, reliability, and efficiency 


Required education and or experience includes:

  • You have a minimum of 1 working experience in an administrative position: prior experience at a professional services firm an asset
  • Good working knowledge of Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe)
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven work setting and can deal with confidential information 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks
  • Able to work quickly and take on more responsibilities over time
